The conversation between Lara Trump and Jake Tapper became tense after Donald Trumpβs daughter-in-law, married to Eric Trump, made the assumption that the Democratic presidential candidate has cognitive decline.
Lara Trump was asked if she is professionally qualified to diagnose Joe Biden with cognitive decline.
Lara Trump and Jake Tapper had a tense conversation. Jake Tapper appeared to be a defense attorney for Joe Biden and to be angry. Although Lara Trump suggests she is uncomfortable with the course of the interview, Donald Trumpβs daughter-in-law maintained a calmness with her traditional smile.
βFirst and foremost, I had no idea that Joe Biden ever suffered from a stutter,β she said. βI think what we see on stage with Joe Biden, Jake, is very clearly a cognitive decline. Thatβs what Iβm referring to. It makes me uncomfortable.β Lara Trump argued.
βI would think that somebody in the family would be more sensitive to people who do not have medical licenses diagnosing politicians from afar. Plenty of people have diagnosed your father from afar, and Iβm sure it offends you,β Jake said.
βWhat Iβm saying, Jake, is that Joe Biden is struggling when heβs on stage. And itβs very concerning to a lot of people that this could be the leader of the free world,β Lara Trump said.
Eric Trumpβs wife denied that she was diagnosing Joe Biden.
